Service-learning
PPE2001 Social and Political Philosophy is a distinctive module that integrates a Service-learning component, enabling students to engage directly with pressing social issues. Participants will attend a guest lecture on the housing challenges in Hong Kong, join a workshop to hone site-visit skills through role-playing, and visit residents of subdivided housing units to share information about available community and government resources. Additionally, students will write a review essay that applies justice theories learned in class to assess the fairness of Hong Kong’s housing situation. This hands-on experience not only deepens understanding of theories but also empowers students to make a meaningful impact in the community.
