The module aims to hone student’s practical skills of developing and managing an non-profit driven organization in a profit-driven society. Students are required to integrate the knowledge of politics, economics, and philosophy to develop a business that provide public good or service. Under the guidance of the instructor, for whom practitioners of NGO and companies that aim to achieve social goals will be hired, students are expected to design how their ideas can be turned into a practicable business and how such business should be managed to make it sustainable in the long run. Students are required to report to the instructor on a weekly basis about their progress and the difficulties they faced during the process. At the end of the class, students will be arranged to present their innovative proposals or designs to the stakeholders of corresponding public issues.
