專修範疇僅供適用於上述新課程架構的學生選讀，並非畢業的必要條件。學生可按個人興趣，選擇修讀一個專修範疇或不選修任何專修範疇。
透過修讀該專修範疇的指定科目取得
須來自第三級或以上科目，
並包含在專修範疇所需的15學分內。
按專修範疇所需的所有科目計算，累積平均積點須達2.0。
專修範疇的學分轉移及科目豁免合共以6學分為上限，須經課程主任批准。
